From the City: the Mitchell gym is open with water, charging stations, and some AC if you need to cool off. I am so sorry we are having to go through this, try to be patient and we hope to have everything back to somewhat normal soon.
Sources from Alabama Power say they are bringing in extra crews to attack this situation for us. They do ask for everyone to try and stay off roads that's are being worked on. Every time they have to stop and talk with someone that's time wasting that they could be getting power back on. Around 350 personnel will be out in neighborhoods working to get your power restored hopefully soon. This is all the info I have at the moment. I hope this may answer some of your questions.
