From Councilman Chris Robinson:

"Just received word from someone at Alabama Power: They did get the main grid up and running on Noccalula Road to around the Jacks restaurant and a few of the surrounding neighborhoods. I'm told they will be sending workers home around 10:00 for safety reasons and will be back out at daybreak in full force. All power should be restored in the AM unless you have major damage to your house. Thanks Alabama Power for all that has been done since the storm hit earlier this afternoon. Probably one of the worst storms I've seen up here in a long time. Stay safe and keep a check on your neighbors."

For residents near Noccalula Falls, some power has been restored, however if you don't currently have power it will not be restored until tomorrow at the earliest.
