About Us

Mater's of Gadsden is located in historic downtown Gadsden on the corner of Fourth and Locust Street.  The restaurant opened in 1978 as a small pizza and pasta restaurant.  Over the years we have expanded the business to include an Oyster Bar, shrimp, and crawfish.  Mater's of Gadsden now occupies half a city block.  We have included a game room just off the Oyster Bar, and we have many TV's throughout the restaurant.  Sidewalk dining is available when weather permits and free Wi-Fi is also available.

In addition to our dining room and al fresco on our sidewalk, we also feature online ordering for pickup!
