The roar of the engine The feel of rushing air.  Miles upon miles of pavement calling your name. When you're on a motorcycle. you understand that meditation doesn’t mean you have to be still.  Riding is always an adventure. We want to make sure you enjoy yourself and stay safe on the road so here are some good-to-knows for the next time you ride:

5 Things to Remember

  1. Know How To Night Ride – Counter darkness by making sure your headlights are clean, dry and adjusted properly
  2. Group Ride The Right Way – Assign lead (front) and sweep (back) spots to riders with experience and don’t ride side-by-side
  3. Use Your Head – Short trip? Blistering heat? Wear the helmet anyway. And of course, never drink and ride
  4. Gear Up – Reinforced clothing in bright colors helps you stay protected and visible.  Protect your body.  This includes, head, hands, and feet.
  5. Play A Zone Defense – In crashes between a bike and a car, the car is at fault more often.  Keep a safe distance and remember that drivers can be distracted

Doing Nothing Is Dangerous

Three riders die at intersections every day, but this can change it we get vocal. For The Bike

  • Are all lights working properly?
  • Are front and rear brakes operational?
  • Any sign of cracks or wear-and-tear on the tires?
  • How are your fuel oil and hydraulic levels?

For The Rider

  • Helmet and eye protection
  • High-visibility clothing
  • Strong and protective gloves. footwear and clothing

Build Your Kit

Even if you do everything right, you may still find yourself in a bind once in a while Here are some items you can ride witn to help you get out of trouble.

For Your Bike:

  • GPS or maps
  • Spare spark plug (don’t forget the socket!)
  • Wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers
  • Flashlight and cable ties • Aspirin water and snacks
  • Electrical tape and wire

FOR YOU:

  • Scissors and alcohol wipes
  • Gauze, bandages and adhesive tape
  • Rubber gloves and tweezers
  • Aspirin, water, and snacks
